Job Title: Substitute School Nurse

Location: Enfield Public Schools, Enfield, CT

Job Summary: Enfield Public Schools is seeking dedicated and qualified substitute school nurses to provide nursing services to students in grades preK-12 on a per diem/as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to students, ensuring their health and well-being.
• Administer first aid and emergency care as needed.
• Manage and dispense medications according to school policies.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health needs.
• Promote a healthy and safe school environment.

Requirements:

• Valid Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Previous experience in school nursing or as a substitute school nurse is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established guidelines.
• Strong assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
• Proficiency with computer programs and electronic health records.

Compensation:

• Daily rate of $300.
• Half-day rate of $150.
• $350 per day after 10 consecutive days of work.
