Location: Stowe Early Learning Center

 

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 11:45 AM (not to exceed 18.75 hours a week)

 

Hourly Rate: $40.00 (No benefits offered)

Job Description:

Stowe Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and Braille-literate Specialized Instructional Assistant to provide essential support to students in the classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the educational experience of students with visual impairments.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with visual impairments by providing Braille literacy support.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt instructional materials and activities.
• Support students in developing independent learning skills.
• Monitor and document student progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Braille literacy.
• Experience working with students with visual impairments is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for education.
